Peter Krusa

“Peter spent his entire career in the printing industry spending the majority of his time with PBM Graphics, Inc. where he helped build and mold the company from the early years to his retirement. Many of PBM’s milestones in growth, expansion, prestige and respect as a premier printing company were because of Peter’s vision, drive and leadership. Peter was extremely involved and active in the Printing Industries of the Carolinas, serving as a Trustee for the past 16 years and currently was President of the PICA Foundation. He was a respected leader and innovator in the printing industry.

In 2005, Peter joined the faculty at Appalachian State University as a Distinguished Professor in the Graphic Arts and Imaging Technology program. Peter was to be inducted into The Ben Franklin Society of PIA/GATF in November which recognizes and honors industry leaders who have made lasting contributions to the printing and graphic communications industries.”

Many people here at Wentworth personally knew Peter. He will be missed dearly by his students and fellow printers.

ASU nominated for ESPY

3 07 2008

Appalachian State Football team received an ESPY nomination for the biggest upset in their 34-32 win over the Michigan Wolverines on September 1, 2007.  I googled ESPY and found out it Excellence in Sports Performance Yearly. So that’s cool. Good for them! Even if they don’t win, it is great promotion for the school.

I remember hearing the score when I was in Hendersonville at the Apple Festival. I’m not much into the technical aspects of the game, but watching these plays give me goosebumps! Well, any play where they run the entire lenght of the field makes me excited. Geaux App State!
